Specific Details: An Indonesian, Thai styled masterpiece sculpture, meticulously
carved by hand from a single, solid piece of volcanic lava stone using a
chisel and mallet. Notice the
intricate topknot on Buddha's head and the detailed robe. The Buddha is
stylized in a Thai depiction and with the greeting mudra, also known as
namaskara or sun salutation. The artist applied a very special dark
finish using a hand crafted rub and heat from fire. Volcanic lave stone
is very dense and this is one of the finest statues that we've ever had
in our gallery! This statue will make a beautiful centerpiece in any
location. The proportions and detail of this hand carved statue are unique, accurate and clean. This piece of art is of temple quality and, when properly cared for, can last hundreds if not thousands of years.
